Trawler fishing boat riding the waves

This piece was shown in Interiors magazing. This very detailed ceramic sculptural piece is constructed from individually modeled elements.
The deep hulled fishing boat that is depicted is based on the fishing boats in the working harbor where I live in Devon. It is being carried on a sea of protective hands as it rides the waves.

The boat is just setting sail and is pulling a fishing net which is hand woven from natural twine.

The whole piece measures 24 sm long and is 26 cm high (up to the top of the boat funnel). It has been made to sit on a or shelf and would be a great center piece on a mantle shelf.
